[Источник] Persona Revelations and Eternal Punishment are so far the only 2 games under the Shin Megami Tensei series that have been released in English (excluding cousin-like Gameboy games such as DemiKids and Revelations: The Demon Slayer). This is also the first time I've ever heard of Masaki Kurokawa. But whoever he is, he has done a great job on this soundtrack. This soundtrack comprises mainly of techno and dance tracks and that's why I really like it. There are many good tracks I can pick out from these two CDs. I personally enjoyed the opening theme, which had a mixture of techno and opera music. I also liked the battle and boss battle music, as they were fast-paced. Here are other tracks worth listening to: "Club Zodiac" - This music is cool. It is slow moving but there's a nice beat to it. "Aoba Park", "Sumaru TV", "Abandoned Factory", "Amenotrihune" and "Monado Mandara", "Velvet Room" are all great tracks. And last but not least my favorite - the music from the Satomi Tadashi Pharmacy, this tune is so catchy! The only song I really hated alot was track 14 from disc 2, "Undersea Ruins", because it reminds me of that horrible dungeon (those of you who have played the game will know what I am talking about). Overall, this is a great soundtrack and worth buying. [Источник] Electronic music has been a staple of Megami Tensei soundtracks for a long time. After all, the games are primarily set in modern or post-modern urban environments; hence, electronic music is a great choice to capture that modern or post-modern vibe. Of course, the electronica in the games is more of the "listening" kind than the kind of danceable electronic music spun by DJs at clubs or raves. We have here the "Persona 2 Batsu Punitive Dance" soundtrack: a soundtrack featuring dance remixes of songs from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. The Persona games have always been known to keep people on their toes and this soundtrack follows that exemplar. With the exception of the closer, the songs aren't very long (usually under 5 minutes) so they loop enough for you to get into them and groove along, but aren't so long that they get boring and repetitive. Each song has a distinct melody that your ear could easily follow, as well as distinct openings and endings, save for "Nichirin-Maru" and "Kagyuu Mountain," which end rather suddenly. As with many import soundtracks, this one is not easy to get a hold of, and is highly sought after by Persona fans. Even if you're not a Persona fan, the music is still very good, although some Persona fandom is a key ingredient to enjoying "Satomi Tadashi: Parapara Tadashi" and "Memories: Sin and Punishment" songs. The other tracks are all very good in their own right and showcase a wide variety of dance styles from all over the world. The soundtrack certainly defied my expectations and in the world of Persona, that can only be a good thing. [Источник] As many hardcore MegaTen fans are aware, however, Persona 2 was actually a game consisting of two parts, Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment, the former of which never saw the light of day stateside due to content that would have been deemed controversial for the American audience. Kurokawa-san's work in each OST, however, is a remarkable achievement in gaming music that should not go unrecognized by all fans of RPGs alike. The casual listener will immediately notice that the Persona 2: Innocent Sin OST contains a smoothly-flowing blend between a vast array of musical genres. The album carries a distinct techno/oriental tone, yet manages to synthesize tracks of jazz, rock, and fusion together into a consistent representation of Sumaru City's multi-cultural setting. The Persona 2: Innocent Sin OST could be well-described as a "complete" soundtrack. Everything it does, it manages to do well, while keeping "filler tracks" to an absolute minimum. Almost every song has something special and unique to bring to the table, an uncommon surprise that is always well-received in an RPG's soundtrack. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all fans of high-caliber video game music. The Innocent Sin OST has a little something for everyone. [Источник] The drama CD for Innocent Sin (with a bridge to Eternal Punishment). A very, very special piece of merchandise put out to amuse the fans. In fact, fans helped write some of the tracks and contributed art to the CD booklet! (Mikawa Beruno and Yuuki Shinichi are definitely doujinshi artists.) I could try to describe this drama CD to you, but I don't think I could do it justice. Usually I find drama CDs to be boring; it's just a bunch of the seiyuu reading their lines into a microphone. But this. This CD is so F*CKING HILARIOUS. There is a total of ONE serious track out of 19. Half of the rest are actually extremely catchy songs (the image songs for the main characters, basically) and the rest are extremely f*cked-up humorous drama tracks. If you can, get a hold of this; I got mine from CDJapan.
