These CDs were distributed to stores at the very beginning of the Playstation era (from December 1994 to Sepember 1996). They contain playable demos as well as promotional movies and bonuses. They were only run inside stores for the clients to test games and watch clips. There are 23 volumes (22 + a Special CD).
As the naming convention might indicate, DemoDemo is something of a cousin to the PlayPlay series of demo discs, which began life on the PS1. Like the PlayPlay discs, DemoDemo discs were demo compilation discs (albeit solely for the PS1), but given to retailers to use as kiosk content.
