The version string contained in the 0.20 HDD (WIP) dump is falsified. It was a test dump for trying to disable the upgrade (bn), but it still does the tm/dc updates and crashes due to the incompatible top.xml. If the dump says 138 it's very strange indeed. The proper method to disable the upgrade is to put the latest version number (351), so I surely messed up something in the dump.
Anyway, this dump is an ugly hack. Not to be used for version number reference.
SUDC3 contains 0.20, only KELFs were hacked and the rest is intact.
Now I'm not sure of bnvers. In one of my previous posts (the one with links to upgrade packages), I wrote 0.10 to 0.20/0.30/0.31/0.32, but 0.10 cannot be upgraded online. Mmmm, it's very confusing.
To make sure the version table is correct, I guess we'll have to perform each upgrade locally (with the bbn01.jp.dnas.playstation.org backup on a dedicated server or local host).

В связи с этим будет такая просьба. Нельзя ли посмотреть на всех дисках файлы extracted/SYSTEM/VERSION.TXT? К сожалению сборник SUDC3 has various checksum errors (both packed and no packed versions) - so i cant use it for tests.

I've unPAKed all disc versions of the PSBBN (except 0.31). All PSBBN versions have bnux_ver_001-001-004 in VERSION.TXT. If I remember correctly, VERSION.TXT is copied as hdd0:/__system:pfs0:/bnversion.dat during the installation.

And second request - if you got original disks maybe you can post information about it on redump.org (both bb and hdd osd)? Here is the tool for dumping and here is the guide (a little bit outdated). Maybe just dumping... It will be very useful for community.

Personally I don't have original discs. SUDC and other hacked discs were made with
PS2Guy's dumps. I'm pretty sure these match Redump.
But anyway I second your request. If any PSX Planet member have PSBBN discs, please dump them for us. Would be greatly appreciated. Especially 0.3x ! My 0.30 and 0.32 releases have been cracked from shitty rips and lack the DVD Player firmware wobble. 0.31 is missing.

Thanks for testing and posting the report. I had the same results with the BIOS injection method. None of the Datel stuff did work :( . I first thought it was a bug caused by the way I injected them, but apparently the POPS emu isn't perfect :( .

By the way, if someone wants to crack 0.10 discs, here's a handy ATAD patcher I released a few days ago :
The main ELF should be
located at LBA 200000 and XORed against LBA 202048...
... or you can simply patch and execute HDDINST.ELF but it's kinda dirty.
After the PSBBN is installed, do not attempt to execute it (it's MG zone 0x01 locked), power off your PS2 and take a dump of the HDD.
