Open decrypted psx emu elf in hexedytor and search for "disc". First you get "%s/disc/disc0" its path for mounting virtual drive without checks. You can specify here disc for mounting(iso with header from bishi bashi). Next will be "pfs0:/disc/disc%d". This is for validation, so it must be specified to original disc0 file. That's all.

Awesome find ! Thanks very much for sharing the info

@ AKuHAK,
Sorry for not replying to your 2 private messages. I was about to write a reply but I saw you answered your own questions, and all the great progress in the thread...
Thank you for posting the bnver history/changelog. Never heard of something else than "Pre-Release" version (SCPN-60101) for PSBBN 0.10, and I've been told it has no online upgrade capability.
Well I did a packet capture and URL snooping of the PSBBN 0.32 first initialization. Since you've detailed the update process, it's useless to share but here I go :

[From this point, I think the update is OK. The PSBBN will check for updates like it does at every startup]

The dump of the GameCity Channel you've asked for :
Kudos to Richi for archiving. I just made little modifications here and there. I don't know if it can be run straight from opt0. At least it works fine from local host/dedicated server. Oh and it's not a recent backup, I can't remember when it was done.
Regarding CogSwap, ZoneLoader or any 3rd Party tool, I'm affraid it's not possible. The installer tells to remove Disc 1, insert Disc 2 and rejects wrong discs. There is no poweroff/reset, the second disc have to be inserted and validated whilst the installation program is running. Single-swap method does not work, even if the TOC is refreshed. That shit can not be installed on unmodded units.
I sent my cracked backups to the trashbin :( . Can't make new ones for the moment because I'm working on the "MRBew Loader" project.
If I find the time, I'll release cracked Utility Discs so someone with a modchipped console can intall it and share the HDD dump...

Or perhaps just a glitch.
Any feedback on how the commercial game emulation is ? The tests I did a while ago with homebrews were disastrous (glitches, random crashes and shit). Some couldn't even start.
