osdboot.elf from upgrade tarballs are identical to osdboot.elf from PSBBN discs (at least, decrypted data are identical, but the MG crypto/bit-table might differs). I couldn't check the 0.31 osdboot.elf because I don't have the disc, so I included the upgrade version in my previous post.
Upgrade tarballs are Tar and Gzip compressed if I remember correctly. I can't remember how I've extracted the files, but you can certainly locate the Gzip archive start Magic (1F 8B 08 00) when opening a .dat upgrade package in a HexEditor.
By the way, have you been able to extract
my 7-zip archive or is it also corrupt ?
I can't trust my 7-Zip archiver anymore. I'm repacking all the stuff I previously posted with the latest stable version [7-Zip 9.20 (2010-11-18)] of 7-zip.
