Sony Utility Discs Compilation 1 is a homemade compilation of hacked update discs.
It contains :
DVD Player Version 2.10 (Europe)
DVD Player Version 2.12 (USA)
HDD Utility Disc Version 1.00 (USA)
HDD Utility Disc Version 1.10 (USA)
Utility Disc Version 1.00 HDD (Japan)
PlayStation BB Navigator Version 0.30 (Japan)
PlayStation BB Navigator Version 0.32 (Japan)

Most hacked builds contained in this compilation HAVE NOT been tested.

To install DVD Player firmwares, you need a console that matches its MagicGate region; otherwise the installation process will fail.
To use HDD softwares, you need an official HDD (SCPH-20401) and an official Network Adaptor.
If you want to format your HDD and if the utility fails to do it, use the latest version of uLaunchElf (MISC/HddManager/Format).

For my tests, I used :
A PAL European SCPH-39004 console (no modchip)
A PAL Swap Magic Version 3.6 CD
An official SCPH-10350 FXN network adaptor
An official SCPH-10020 K PS2 memory card
I don't have an official HDD so I couldn't verify the region free HDD softwares. It kicked me to the internal CDVD/MC browser so I assume it's OK.
The HDD I used is an ExcelStor J680 (80 GB), 7200 RPM, ATA100, firmware revision V320A60A, date code 20030822, jumpers set to cable select (16 heads).
