The first game based on the Women's Tennis Association license features 20 WTA players, including established stars such as Martina Hingis, Monica Seles, Serena Williams, and Lindsay Davenport, and a few up-and-coming players, each with unique AI and modelling.

Take to the court and experience the realism and authenticity of WTA Tour Tennis. First, choose one of 20 professional tennis players such as Serena Williams, Martina Hingis, and Jelina Dokic--each with lifelike facial expressions and movements. Then, engage in fast-paced competition on grass, clay, and hard surfaces. With simple controls, multiple levels of difficulty, and AI based on actual player attributes, WTA Tour Tennis challenges both newcomers and seasoned pros alike.


Based upon the women's tennis circuit, WTA Tour Tennis lets players take to the court with 20 professional players, including Jelena Dokic, Martina Hingis, Serena Williams, Jennifer Capriati, and Lindsay Davenport. Grass, clay, and hardcourt surfaces provide for significantly different play mechanics, such as lower bounce or faster ball speed. Players have a variety of shots at their disposal, and by double-tapping the requisite button as the ball makes contact with the racket, it's possible to increase the power of the shot. Two unique control schemes are offered, for both novice and expert gamers.

Players can choose to participate in one of three modes of play, namely, Tour, Exhibition, and Tournament. The Tour mode is exactly that, allowing players to take the athlete of their choosing through a series of events on the WTA tour -- which take place in ten different locations scattered across the globe. Exhibition matches are once-off singles or doubles events that can be customized to the players' liking, while the Tournament mode emulates a single event on the WTA tour.

Statistics allow players to track all aspects of their game, such as their current WTA tour ranking as well as the amount of prize money earned; with the ultimate aim of becoming the best player in the world. Doubles or singles matches can be played, with support for up to four players simultaneously. Computer AI is based upon the attributes and playing styles of the real-life professionals.
