МКII вышел только в Японии, поэтому и вкладку нужно смотреть соответствующую. Я вообще не заметил кардинальных различий, некоторые игры которые не работали на старых версиях, не работают и на новых, а перепроверять всё подряд, да к тому же не самое интересное, та ещё затея. Я всё время перепроверяю только: 007 Racing, C-12, Countdown Vampires, Medievil 2 и Rayman 2, хотя первые три игры проходимы через PS2PSXe.

My fellow players,


I know that this is probably the BEST places to ask this question, simply because I'm not a fan of Reddit.


And even though my question comes to you in English, I know that most of you, it not all, have used the POPS loader on your PlayStation 2s to play your PS1/PSX games.

- Is it a good way to play PS1/PSX games? Although it 'apparently' has some compatibility issues.
- The best way is to use the original hardware, but is the emulation close enough or even better due to the PS2's video output?
- Does it use the onboard PS1 chip to play those games? Or is it all software emulation?

I have read that loading games via USB keeps the PS1 chip on the PS2 busy to control the drive. Does that mean that POPSLoader is purely a software emulator??

Burning actual CD-Rs these days (and storing them of course) is a problem. Then to even find the right brand that works with the system is even harder still.

So, please tell me how you guys feel about this subject, and why you would choose what you choose at the end of the day.

Yes, this is a software emulator, but it works on the same principle as emulators for PSP and PS3, just compatibility is worse.

I presume it should be done in the FAT32 format. But, you should probably wait for a more qualified answer to your question, or maybe even start a fresh new post thread on the main forum.

Если с нуля - тебе нужен FMCB на карте памяти. Загрузись с него и замени в нем встроенный uLe (файл BOOT.ELF) на этот http://psx-core.ru/load/ps2_soft/ule_443a/5-1-0-199 Он с поддержкой дисков до 2 Тб.
Далее запускаешь этот новый uLe, в главном меню внизу меню "MISC", далее - "HddManager". Там вызываешь меню на R1 и выбираешь "Format".


Если же до этого у тебя уже был HDD в приставке меньшего объема, то можно его просто посекторно клонировать на ПК (на ПК он будет выглядеть как неразмеченный) с помощью Acronis Disc Director или Minitool Partition Wizard Free. Ну в общем с помощью любой программы, работающей с дисками.
