''Unfortunately I can’t remember loads, but it will have definitely have been done on Cubase and probably a Soundscape HD recording system or Fostex D80 hard Disk recorders. We used Akai S1000’s / S3000’s, aKorg M1 and Proteus’s. A lot of the tracks had real session players on - brass and vocals etc. The Randy Newman track for "You've Got A Friend In Me" we did was all by ear. I do remember the whole job being a lot of fun - and the Studio being boiling on the days towards the end of the job - to the point where we had to keep shutting down the equipment to let it cool off !! I do remember that we had 4 weeks to the whole job so not having a day off the whole time. We would sketch out a track late evening, flesh it out next morning, get the session players in during the afternoon and mix it early evening - then have some takeaway food and then sketch out a track to do next day, finishing about midnight''.
