Little is known about Kimitaka. He attended Chiba University, but then dropped out. He then became a video game musician in the 90's. Kimitaka is a prolific video game composer who's been working in the industry since 1987 with works on CAPCOM 's Street Fighter II, Strider Hiryu and Final Fight, and SEGA's After Burner among many others. He was also an active member of the SST Band. Recently, Kimitaka worked on the TV adaptation of Tamako Market and Maimoji Rurumo as a composer. Curiously, both of Kimitaka's KONAMI original songs sound very different when played on Double.
